主曲率：在曲面某一点处，沿着所有可能方向的法曲率中，取到的最大值和最小值分别称为两条主曲率（常记为 (k_1, k_2)）。它们对应的方向叫主方向。在微分几何、曲面分析、计算机图形学与形状识别中非常常见。（该术语在不同语境下也会延伸到更高维情形。）
